Miss. Shelly was a concept conceived at our favorite spot on the Mississippi River where we collect our shells, river rocks and fossils. We come across numerous shells that have very distinct shapes, texture and iridescence that we wanted to use in a special piece. Inspired by the setting and, wanting to translate the beauty we experience there, we decided to do a River Queen. She is our interpretation of the regal & majestic qualities of the River.

We collected each shell that was used on Miss. Shelly. We sculpted the face form and sorted through numerous shells to find each piece that would work just right for area we wanted. She was 2 years of collecting the right shells, and couple months
